USTDA Latin America and Caribbean Regional: “Intelligent Transportation Initiative” Reverse Trade Missions

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is inviting three groups of eight to twelve delegates each from Brazil, Colombia and Mexico to visit the United States for a series of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Reverse Trade Missions (RTMS) during the period of October 2011 (Brazil), January 2012 (Colombia)and March of 2012 (Mexico). KEA has been contracted to manage this RTM series.
The objective of the ITS Initiative is to familiarize up to 28 key Latin American officials and project sponsors from Brazil, Colombia and Mexico with U.S. technologies and best practices with respect to intelligent transportation systems through three separate visits to the United States. Each visit schedule would include meetings with U.S. industry, financial institutions, and U.S. government agencies to exchange information with regard to the commercial, technological, regulatory, and financial aspects associated with intelligent transportation systems.
The first RTM featured a delegation from Brazil and was conducted October 10th through 19th 2011. The second RTM took place from January 21st thru January 31st, 2012 and third RTM is scheduled for March 11th – 21st, 2012 and will focus on the countries of Colombia and Mexico respectively. Additional information concerning this RTM event will be forthcoming as the program schedule develops.
Participation at and/or sponsorship of a USTDA event is limited to U.S. Individuals, U.S. Firms or U.S. Consultants as defined in USTDA’s Nationality Requirements, in addition to invited guests from USTDA eligible countries. USTDA reserves the right to authorize the participation of additional individuals and firms from the event’s host country and from other eligible countries within the same geographic region. Individuals or organizations that are included in the U.S. Government’s Excluded Parties List System may not attend or sponsor overseas USTDA events. Also note that by registering for USTDA events, your contact information will be provided to USTDA and USTDA may make such information available to other interested persons upon request. In addition, please be informed that you will likely receive requests for information related to your participation in USTDA events and their outcomes via telephone, email or fax, from USTDA Evaluations, USTDA program evaluators, and others who share USTDA’s mission.
