The event brought senior representatives from Brazil’s passenger railroad industry to the United States for a ten-day visit to familiarize them with U.S. technologies and equipment for railway video monitoring, signaling, and energy efficiency. The delegation was led by the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos) and included representatives from the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) and a number of passenger railway operating companies. As part of the itinerary, USTDA hosted a business briefing allowing the delegates to share information with U.S. companies on their equipment needs, upcoming projects, and procurements related to the continuing development of Brazil’s passenger rail network. U.S. companies had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the delegates.
