USTDA Brazil: “Airport Modernization Technologies” Reverse Trade Mission (RTM)
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) intends to invite up to twelve (12) delegates from Brazil’s public and private sector aviation officials to the United States for a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) in March, 2012. As a strategic part of the National Export Initiative (NEI), this visit will focus on familiarizing senior Brazilian officials with U.S. airport and civil aviation-related modernization technologies and best practices through site visits and meetings with public and private industry experts. The RTM will introduce the delegation to U.S. technology, services, products and best practices that can help the Brazilians in their airport modernization and upgrade program prior to the World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympic Games in 2016. The RTM activity will feature a Business Briefing at USTDA’s offices in Rosslyn, VA or in a location to be determined in cooperation with USTDA.
The Brazilian delegation will undertake site visits to the following U.S. cities with major airport facilities that can demonstrate the relevant technologies and operations commensurate with the Brazilian airport modernization goals:
- Ronald Reagan National Airport – Washington, D.C.
- Marshall Thurgood Baltimore-Washington International Airport – Baltimore, MD.
- Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport – Atlanta, GA.
- Louis Armstrong International Airport – New Orleans, LA.
- Miami International Airport – Miami, FL.
Koeppen, Elliott & Associates, Limited (KEA) will be responsible to USTDA for the planning, organization, management and success of this Reverse Trade Mission (RTM).
